C.Vale food quality and safety systems

C.Vale has a BAP (Good Aquaculture Practices) certificate for the slaughter and processing processes of whole fresh tilapia or parts (fillet, belly, cutlets and skin) frozen separately or in bulk, chilled fillets and tilapia, Mechanically Separated Meat and Mechanically Ground Meat frozen in bulk, packaged in polyethylene or Styrofoam.

The cooperative maintains controls over poultry slaughterhouse processes, such as deboning, processing and sale of poultry meat products and anatomically unidentifiable poultry cuts, and in the seed production process, processing, industrial treatment, quality control and marketing, and the production and sale process of cassava starch and modified cassava starches is also certified in accordance with the international standard NBR ISO 9001, which aims to continually improve the quality of our products, processes and services.

 

C.Vale has Kosher certification for the cassava starch and modified cassava starch products it produces and sells.

The poultry segment is committed to safe and sustainable agriculture practices, involving producers, companies, cooperatives, processors and food distributors. The cooperative has Global SLP certification for the production of broiler chickens, which includes the Breeders, the Hatchery and the Poultry Development, and Global Gap CFM for the production of feed for broiler chickens and breeders, which includes the three Feed Factories, and the Swiss ALO FREE standard is applied throughout the production chain.

Certification to the NBR ISO/IEC 17025 standard, which establishes general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

The poultry complex follows quality and food safety standards in the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety processes, following international standards for food industries that wish to ensure their customers the ability to produce healthy and quality food. The poultry slaughterhouse follows the standards of the HACCP Food Safety Assurance System – Codex Alimentarius, through the analysis of all production stages to identify existing hazards and define control measures, important for food safety. Through the Halal Assurance system certificate, it meets the requirements established by the Muslim religious community. It is also certified in animal welfare by PAACO (Professional Animal Auditor Certification).
